The President of Cyprus, Nicos Anastasiades, presented our Director Tony Kouzarides with the prestigious Excellence in Science Award this week, on behalf of the Cyprus Academy of Science.
The ceremony took place at the Presidential Palace in Cyprus, during which Anastasiades elaborated on the excellent work and contribution made by the award recipients. He also expressed certainty that the Academy will become a beacon of cultural and scientific achievements, with effect both at a national and international level.
“I am honoured to receive this prize from my country, which I left as a refugee many years ago.” Tony said.
